Cambodia is laying the foundation for the transition to electric vehicle public transport (EVPT) through strong national policies, including the National Policy on the Development of Electric Vehicles 2024–2030, the Long-Term Strategy for Carbon Neutrality, and NDC 3.0. These frameworks establish ambitious targets for vehicle electrification, charging infrastructure and cleaner public transport, supported by emerging fiscal incentives, technical standards and institutional coordination.
