Purpose
The electronic fare (e-fare) systems offer many benefits for transit agencies and passengers. Open payment e-fare systems enable contactless payment, adoption of mobile ticketing, multi-modal and multi-operator fare systems integration and valuable data analytics for network planning, operations management, vehicle capacity control, and customer-focussed solutions.

The webinar will provide a platform to discuss e-fare systems adoption as a strategy for supporting transit agencies in recovery from COVID. It will provide insight intoproven technology solutions, key issues to be considered in planning and implementation of e-fare systems, best practices from case studies and opportunities for regaining ridership, enhancing security and ensuring socially inclusive transit service.
