Klang Valley MRT Corp awards four contracts for SSP Line [free access]

Malaysia’s Mass Rapid Transit Corporation Sdn Bhd (MRT Corp) has awarded four contracts worth MYR2.74 billion for the construction of the MRT Sungai Buloh-Serdang-Putrajaya (SSP) Line as part of the Klang Valley MRT project.

 

Gadang Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd has secured the MYR952.09-million contract to construct of the viaduct guideway and other associated works from Serdang Raya to UPM.

 

Trans Resources Corporation Sdn Bhd has secured the MYR858.18-million contract to construct the viaduct guideway and other associated works from Kampung Muhibbah to Serdang Raya.

 

Acre Works Sdn Bhd has secured the MYR715.99-million contract to construct the viaduct guideway and other associated works from Persiaran Alpinia to Persiaran APEC. Sunway Construction Sdn Bhd has secured the MYR212.3-million contract to construct elevated stations and other associated works at Damansara Damai, Sri Damansara West and Sri Damansara East.

 

The SSP Line will span 52.2 km from Sungai Buloh to Putrajaya and cover 37 stations (11 underground, 26 elevated).  Phase I (Kwasa Damansara-Kampung Batu) is expected to be completed by July 2021, and Phase II (Kampung Batu-Putrajaya Sentral) by July 2022.
